About Backworth
Backworth is a historic village with strong mining heritage, now a sought-after residential area with excellent amenities. Situated in North Tyneside, it is part of the vibrant North East of England and falls within our core service area for solar panel installation and renewable energy solutions.
The History of Backworth
Backworth's history is closely tied to the coal mining industry, with Backworth Colliery operating from the early 19th century until 1980. The village was also home to the Backworth Miners' Welfare, a centre of community life. Today, Backworth has evolved into a popular residential area, with the former colliery site transformed into parkland and the village enjoying proximity to both the coast and Newcastle city centre.
Solar Panel Installation in Backworth
Backworth is an ideal location for solar panel installation, with properties across the area well-suited to harnessing solar energy. Homeowners and businesses in Backworth can benefit significantly from the transition to renewable energy, reducing their electricity bills by up to 70% whilst contributing to a greener future for North Tyneside and the wider North East.
Our team of MCS-certified solar panel installers has extensive experience working on properties throughout Backworth and the surrounding areas. Whether you live in a Victorian terrace, a modern detached home, a semi-detached property, or a bungalow, we can design and install a bespoke solar energy system tailored to your property's unique characteristics and your household's energy requirements.
With rising energy costs continuing to affect households across North Tyneside, there has never been a better time for residents of Backworth to consider solar panel installation. The average domestic solar panel system in the North East generates between 3,000 and 4,500 kWh of clean electricity per year, which can save homeowners between £800 and £1,200 annually on their energy bills. Combined with the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG), which pays you for surplus energy exported to the grid, solar panels represent an excellent long-term investment for Backworth residents.
We also offer battery storage systems for homes in Backworth, allowing you to store excess solar energy generated during the day for use in the evening and overnight. This maximises your self-consumption of solar energy and further reduces your reliance on the national grid. Our EV charger installation service is equally popular with Backworth residents, enabling electric vehicle owners to charge their cars using free, clean solar energy.
